Our Retreat Philosophy

All you have to do to have a retreat is ignore everyone and everything else for a specific period of time while giving your attention to your own body, soul, heart, and mind.

Having a regular solo retreat practice will help you Flourish Anyway™—even when your circumstances are less than ideal, when the political climate is an absolute shitshow, when your schedule is too full, when your schedule isn’t full enough, when you aren’t sure what else to do, and when everything appears to be fine, for now.

Just about anything can be a solo retreat.

Just about any place can be the setting for your solo retreat.

Retreats don’t have to be expensive, but you can have a fancy retreat if you want.

Retreats can be four days or four hours or forty minutes or any length of time. Whatever.

You can retreat at home, in a park, on a bus, near or far.

Rhythms + Rituals = Retreats (Sort of.)

Solo retreats are the best retreats because you have complete control over how you use your time and direct your attention. And you don’t have to worry about anyone else’s body, soul, heart, and mind.

Group retreats can be great, too, though. (We are fans of all of the retreats! Take more of all of the retreats!) To Flourish Anyway™ in a group retreat setting, we recommend having a short solo retreat before and/or after your group retreat for an increased chance of not being bothered by annoyances that you have zero control over.

(Our Retreat Philosophy is a work in progress that we will continue to update.)
